* Summary:

* The purpose of this position is to provide engineering support for all aspects of the product development process with specific focus on drafting and laboratory product testing.

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities
** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Utilize AutoCAD software to create 2D/3D window/door drawings on the computer.

+ Maintain and update drawing on a regular basis.

+ Prepare final drawings that incorporate dimensional checking, required materials, parts relationship, and visualization of entire project.

+ Assists in the analysis of research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposals.

+ Research and analysis of the competitor products based on Design Engineer specifications.

+ Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to support Design Engineer in the implementation of Product Development themes.

+ Coordinate and participate in installing test specimens for testing.

+ Monitor controls instruments and record test data for engineer's use.

+ Activates controls to apply electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical power and subject test item to successive steps in test cycle.

+ Examine parts for form/fit/function conformance with dimensional specifications.

+ Fabricate precision parts for test specimens or interpret specifications for the fabrication of parts.

** Education/

Experience:

* + Associate's degree from an accredited two-year college or technical school in Architectural Engineering Technology/Architectural Design plus 2 years related experience required; or bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college

+ Communication skills with an ability to develop collaborative relationships

+ Proficient with AutoCAD, Solid Works, Microsoft Office applications

+ Applies basic engineering principles to troubleshoot technical issues and assist in developing practical solutions

+ Be vigilant about safety

+ Quality - conscious, oriented to excellence
