Role Overview
The TPM specialist provides comprehensive program support, project controls, and technical product development administration for the PDI Program and Product Portfolio. Operating in lockstep with the Technical Product Manager (TPM) and the Document Control/Knowledge Management (DCKM) teams, this role ensures cross-functional alignment, rigorous change management, and the seamless execution of the Product Life Cycle (PLC).
The ideal candidate must have a technical background and possess a strong Project Management Office (PMO) skillset to effectively support deliverables, follow up on manage complex asset inventories, and maintain engineering documentation.

Core Program Support & Scope
The specialist will provide dedicated PMO and program support for three primary work streams:
Global Regions System Engineering Technical Meetings, Major Program Integration, and System Parameter Input Stakeholder Tracking. Scope descriptions for these programs include:
  • Meetings: Schedule, chair, and document technical meetings. Partner with the TPM to drive scope deliverables, ensuring discussions regarding engineering, design, and pilot testing remain structured, organized, and productive.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support the Product Development & Insertion Project Management Team, collaborating closely with the Technology Innovation Engineering Team and the broader product development team on design-related discussions.
  • PLC Stage Gate Governance: Assist the manager in driving the Product Life Cycle (PLC) checklist. Support the scheduling, review, and note-taking of stage gate presentations to ensure successful sign-off for each phase.
  • Documentation & Tracker Upkeep: Manage documentation workflows, maintain trackers, and follow up with internal stakeholders to secure reviews and process sign-offs by committed timelines.
  • Engineering Bulletin Coordination: Coordinate Engineering Bulletins (EBs) with relevant parties to verify that technical content is accurate and all supporting documentation is properly linked.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Quantity & Design Update Tracking
  • Device Count Management: Track, audit, and reconcile standard hardware device counts (including automatic transfer switches, network equipment, busducts, and infrastructure components) alongside mechanical drops as data center site layouts migrate from baseline to site-specific configurations.
  • Design Update Auditing: Continuously audit the inventory framework to accurately account for all new hardware releases and specific project configuration modifications.
2. Stakeholder Follow-Up & Data Integration
  • Internal Alignment Execution: Proactively follow up with internal engineering, design, and operations teams to accelerate design reviews, technical drawing releases, and spend approvals (such as data center design engineering approvals).
  • Supply Chain & Vendor Touchpoints: Interface with Equipment Supply Chain contacts and integration vendors to track hardware fabrication timelines, assembly starts, and transit schedules.
  • Major Program Integration: Assist the team in leading coordination efforts across supply chain, internal engineering, and data center services to ensure inventory counts accurately reflect upcoming configurations.
3. Dashboard, Tracker, & Tool Maintenance
  • Program Tracker Ownership: Retain ownership of the program workflow tracker and roadmap updates (taking direction from lead engineering and portfolio TPM), updating task completions, milestone dates, approved configurations, and assignees weekly.
  • Inventory Dashboard Analytics: Maintain a clean, consolidated dashboard tracking equipment inventory, supplier lead times, allocation maps, and storage locations for spare or excess components.
  • Documentation Repositories: Manage documentation uploads, track stakeholder approvals, and coordinate the drafting/approval of technical bulletins while ensuring accurate technical links are preserved.
  • Status Reporting: Generate structured, periodic reports for leadership focusing on late-binding transition statuses, inventory holding risks, and critical path timeline updates.
4. Lifecycle Documentation Closeout
  • Ensure all project-related information is properly organized, validated for accuracy/quality, and archived within defined closeout periods agreed upon by the TPM and DCKM teams.
  • Incorporate metadata and indexing for optimized searchability, implement access controls, document lessons learned, and manage a seamless handover to operations.
  • Document Management & Collaboration: Proficiency in navigating and organizing data within AODocs, DCIP folder structures, PILs, and DDI platforms to maintain centralized, secure repositories.
  • Issue & Bug Tracking: Direct experience utilizing Buganizer (or equivalent enterprise tracking systems) to log, monitor, and resolve product/program defects.
