Stillpoint AEC is partnering with a respected MEP consulting engineering firm to identify an Electrical Designer / Electrical Design Engineer for its Atlanta office. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with a growing firm known for delivering high-quality electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and technology engineering solutions across a diverse range of commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, multifamily, municipal, and institutional projects.
The Electrical Designer / Electrical Design Engineer will support the design and coordination of building electrical systems while working alongside experienced engineers and project managers on both renovation and new construction projects. This role is ideal for an engineer with 2+ years of experience in an MEP or consulting engineering environment who is looking to expand technical skills, gain project exposure, and continue growing within a collaborative engineering team.

Responsibilities- Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems
- Prepare electrical calculations, technical reports, specifications, and construction documents
- Develop electrical plans utilizing Revit and AutoCAD
- Assist with electrical equipment selection and system layout development
- Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines
- Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration phases
- Participate in BIM coordination and multidisciplinary design reviews
- Review submittals and respond to RFIs during construction
- Assist with site visits and field investigations as required
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, energy codes, and applicable industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering required
- 2+ years of experience in electrical design within an MEP, AEC, or consulting engineering environment
- EIT preferred but not required
- Experience designing building electrical systems including power and lighting preferred
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD preferred
- Knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes and standards
- Experience with commercial, retail, hospitality, healthcare, education, multifamily, or municipal projects preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality project delivery
