Arcadis seeks a Senior Traffic Project Manager to join our transportation team in Atlanta, GA. As a client‑facing project manager in traffic engineering, your role involves a range of responsibilities focused on improving safety and operations. You will have the opportunity to work alongside senior program managers, project managers, and engineers to lead the delivery for programs and projects across the Southeast.

We design connected, sustainable solutions that integrate existing infrastructure with new technologies, and optimize the mobility of people and goods.
- Serve as client‑facing project manager: you would be the main point of contact for clients, overseeing traffic engineering projects.
- Scope, schedule, and budget management: you would develop and manage the project scope, create schedules, and establish budgets.
- Status updates and reporting: you would provide regular written and verbal updates on project status to clients and internal senior management.
- Technical presentations: you would present technical results and recommendations to clients.
- Coordination with subject matter experts: you would work with surveyors, roadway designers, environmental specialists, and others to ensure project success.
- Project pursuit strategies: you would collaborate with client managers and operational leaders to develop strategies and plans for pursuing new projects.
- Traffic studies and modeling: you would conduct and document traffic studies following nationally accepted modeling practices.
- Technical approaches and reviews: you would assist engineers in developing technical approaches for traffic engineering projects and review technical results prepared by others.
- Traffic engineering plan preparation: you would lead the project team in preparing traffic engineering plans.
- Client interaction and analysis results: you would coordinate and interface with clients to discuss the technical aspects of the project.
- Training and guidance: you would provide training and guidance to junior engineers, interns, and new project managers.
- 10+ years of relevant work experience
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Ability to obtain Georgia PE within one year of hire
- Understanding of traffic analysis tools including VISSIM, Sidra, Synchro/Sim Traffic, and HCS
- Understanding of traffic operations principles including ITE, MUTCD, AASHTO, and state DOT requirements, policies, manuals, and procedures
- Experience/familiarity with Microstation and/or Bentley Open Roads
- Must possess a U.S. Driver's License
- Experience in operational and/or safety analysis
- Experience in one or more of: GDOT design standards, ITS design, traffic operations studies, intersection conceptual drafting, or safety studies
- Master's Degree in Transportation Engineering
- Experience managing large tasks and/or projects
