A220 Final Assembly Line/MRB Liaison Engineer (Onsite: Mobile, Alabama)
At Capgemini Engineering, you will support aircraft programs as a static, fatigue, and damage tolerance stress specialist.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate non-conformances reported by the Quality group
- Evaluate manufacturing deviation and its effect within the assembly
- Create engineering dispositions, supported by drawings/sketches and company/international standards
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Work in close collaboration with Engineering Specialists such as Stress, Manufacturing and Production, and Aerodynamics
- Work hand in hand with production and production support groups (Methods/manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics) to fix and resolve operational or engineering issues on aircraft
- Exchange information and collaborate between sites to ensure sharing of technical knowledge
- Coordinate with other MAP offices (Spain, Mexico, India) to ensure all client requirements are accurately addressed
- Mentor new MRB candidates through on-the-job training
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must be able to relocate to Mobile, Alabama or commute to the location
- Bachelor's degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum of five (5) years MRB/MAP experience in commercial / business aircraft OR eight (8) years design experience in Aerospace
- Excellent knowledge of aircraft structure and system installation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge in mechanics of material, stress analysis and composite materials
- Desire and capability to obtain Engineering MRB delegation after a period of on-the-job training
- Knowledge in design office (design or stress) of aircraft structures (Airframe)
- Extensive knowledge in CATIA V5 or similar CAD Software
- Ability to work autonomously and be a good teammate
- Excellent communication and social skills, a high sense of dedication, and a willingness to accept responsibilities while acting independently in a fast paced partner/supplier team environment
- Must be proficient in MS Office
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $68,911..
