This position will report to the Transportation Engineer Branch Office Manager in our office located in Atlanta, GA.

The Project Engineer will perform civil engineering design services in a team‑oriented environment. Project emphasis is transportation engineering design for both public and private sectors, ranging in scope from small to multimillion‑dollar designs. Services are provided to a wide range of clients that include state DOTs and other governmental agencies—municipal, county, and state.

• Daily production of civil engineering design plans
• Work as part of a team to deliver quality design that adheres to the project budget and schedule
• Responsible and accountable for client/customer satisfaction and technical project execution
• Perform other job duties as assigned

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university required
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Georgia, or ability to obtain GA licensure in 3 months
• 5‑10 years of hands‑on plan preparation experience for public agency roadway projects
• Proficiency in Micro Station as well as a related transportation design package (Open Roads Designer, Geopak) although candidates with an AutoCAD/Civil3D background will also be considered
• Working knowledge of DOT/AASHTO Standards
• DOT project experience is preferred (GDOT is a plus)
• Proficiency with Excel and other general office software
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills

• Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods
• Visual focus for electronic documents and design software
• Sufficient mobility to move to various locations in and out of the office to use various office equipment, coordinate with other staff, visit other EFK Moen and client offices/meeting locations

Starting Salary Range: $90,000‑120,000

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
