IMAGING SERVICE ENGINEER - GENERAL X-ray/Portables ( multi vendor)
Minimum 3+ years of experience performing corrective and preventive maintenance on high‑tech diagnostic equipment. Versatile engineer who can work on multi-modalities and possess General X‑ray / Rad Room, C‑arms, and Portables experience, as well as formal training in these modalities and on X‑ray machines. The role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining diagnostic medical equipment, inspecting, testing, replacing, and adjusting malfunctioning components and parts, and keeping records of system problems and issues.
Compensation$80, plus OT;
Sign‑on Bonus
- Perform general equipment repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance.
- Maintain files, supplies, and parts.
- Maintain current knowledge within the field.
- Execute cost‑containment measures by sourcing the most cost‑efficient options to maintain diagnostic equipment.
- Communicate with staff and customers.
- Work on high‑tech laboratory or diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Maintain regulatory documentation.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex information related to equipment malfunctions as described by clinical staff, determine equipment operational condition, and follow complex written instructions to perform tasks and document actions taken.
- Ability to perform during emergencies or stressful situations.
- Ability to learn equipment maintenance and repair procedures from courses, service engineer representatives, and training materials.
- Computer and typing skills.
- Perform equipment database documentation.
- Associate’s degree in Medical Electronics, Electronic Technology, Imaging Service Technology or a related field, or related military training.
- Certified Radiology Equipment Service (CRES) and/or Certified Laboratory Equipment Service (CLES) preferred but not required.
- Vendor training preferred.
- Must possess specialized training by manufacturer or third‑party equipment repair diagnostic imaging general X‑ray equipment.
