A company that operates as a global service provider in the renewable energy sector is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the development and delivery of utility‑scale solar, wind, and energy storage projects. This role contributes to all stages of project execution by evaluating site conditions, guiding civil design development, coordinating with external engineering partners, and ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and quality standards.
Responsibilities- Reviews site conditions, project requirements, and technical specifications to support conceptual civil design.
- Develops preliminary grading plans, access road layouts, and stormwater management concepts.
- Prepares early‑stage documentation including Bills of Materials.
- Reviews 30/60/90/IFC design packages for accuracy, quality, and constructability.
- Coordinates work from external Engineers of Record and ensures deliverables meet project needs.
- Manages civil‑related submittals, RFIs, and design documents across all phases.
- Conducts technical evaluations of vendor proposals related to civil engineering scope.
- Collaborates with engineering, procurement, construction, and estimating teams.
- Represents the civil discipline in technical discussions and project meetings.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations as well as internal QHSE and IMS standards.
- Provides occasional on‑site support and participates in field evaluations.
- Contributes to improvements in engineering workflows, tools, and internal processes.
- Required:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. - Minimum of 3 years of experience in infrastructure or renewable energy.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
- Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship available).
- Ability to work in an onsite environment.
- Familiarity with Procore or PVcase.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Ability to perform site visits and field evaluations.
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.
