Technical Service Manager | Industrial Manufacturing & Power Transmission | Atlanta, GA
We’re supporting a global manufacturer of industrial power transmission and drive solutions in their search for a Technical Service Manager to lead their technical services function based in Atlanta, Georgia.
This is a hands‑on leadership role for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise, customer engagement, and team management. You’ll serve as the technical authority for complex applications while ensuring high‑quality service delivery and strong customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage on‑site and remote technical support teams, including training and skill development
- Review and approve engineering drawings and design documentation for geared motor and drive solutions
- Collaborate closely with global engineering teams on product modifications and improvements
- Provide advanced application support, troubleshooting, and product recommendations to customers
- Serve as the technical liaison between customers, manufacturing, and engineering teams
- Support product testing, validation, and development initiatives
Assist with proposals, quotations, and technical pricing support in partnership with sales leadership - Investigate and resolve production and work‑in‑process issues
- Drive continuous improvement in processes, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency
- Monitor operations for compliance with quality and safety standards
- Evaluate supplier proposals for equipment and process enhancements
- Deliver technical presentations and training sessions internally and externally
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (required)
- 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, technical support, or industrial engineering environments
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, drive technology, and industrial equipment
- Experience managing and developing technical teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with customers and internal stakeholders
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical capabilities
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
