Project Engineering Manager

Our client is a rapidly growing industrial technology company executing large-scale capital projects across the chemical processing and advanced manufacturing sectors. As they continue to scale, they are seeking a Project Engineering Manage
r to serve as a key technical leader responsible for driving projects from early development through construction and startup.

This individual will work closely with the Director of Engineering and play a critical role in delivering major capital projects while helping establish best practices, processes, and engineering standards for future growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, including concept development, FEED, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning, and startup.
• Act as the primary engineering interface between internal stakeholders, EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and equipment vendors.
• Support the successful delivery of large-scale capital projects by ensuring engineering scope, schedule, quality, and technical objectives are achieved.
• Drive front-end project development activities, including scope definition, technical evaluations, risk assessments, and stage-gate reviews.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams across process, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and controls disciplines.
• Ensure engineering deliverables are aligned with construction and operational requirements.
• Identify project risks early and develop practical solutions to support execution.
• Help develop and implement project engineering processes, standards, and best practices as the organization continues to scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in project engineering, capital project execution, or process engineering within chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, refining, oil & gas, or other industrial process environments.
• Proven experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle from development through startup.
• Strong understanding of stage-gate project development and capital project execution methodologies.
• Experience working directly with EPC contractors, engineering firms, licensors, and equipment vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts on both large and small capital projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
