About iFactory AI

iFactory AI is a small team building AI solutions for manufacturing, industrial automation, computer vision, and robotics.

We are not a large company with specialized departments and established processes. We operate in a fast‑paced startup environment where engineers work across software, hardware, AI models, sensors, and robotics systems. Our goal is to build practical solutions that solve real industrial problems with limited resources and a strong focus on execution.

This internship is designed for individuals who want hands‑on experience building real systems rather than observing from the sidelines.

What You’ll Work On

Depending on project priorities and your capabilities, you may contribute to:

  • Computer vision model development and evaluation
  • Industrial camera integration and testing
  • Data collection, annotation, and dataset management
  • Object detection, tracking, and inspection systems
  • Robotics perception pipelines
  • Sensor integration and data processing
  • Edge AI deployment and optimization
  • Manufacturing automation tools
  • Prototype development and experimentation

Projects may involve industrial automation equipment, robotic platforms, and advanced perception systems. Some projects may support future humanoid robotics initiatives, but the primary focus remains manufacturing and industrial applications.

  • Learn quickly and independently
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity
  • Can work with limited resources
  • Take ownership of problems
  • Communicate clearly when blocked
  • Enjoy hands‑on engineering work
What To Expect

This is not a structured corporate internship. You should expect:

  • A small team environment
  • Limited resources and tight timelines
  • Rapidly changing priorities
  • Significant individual responsibility
  • Direct exposure to engineering and business decisions
  • Opportunities to contribute beyond your formal role
Location Requirement

This internship is fully onsite. Selected candidates must relocate for the duration of the program and work near our lab facilities in either:

  • Atlanta
  • San Francisco

Remote participation is not available due to the hardware‑intensive nature of the work.

Confidentiality Requirements

  • Interview discussions are confidential
  • Project details will only be shared with selected candidates
  • Interns may have access to proprietary technologies and customer‑related information
Compensation & Growth Opportunities
