The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting and owning key aspects of process and mechanical design across capital projects. This includes working closely with engineering contractors, internal project teams, and operations to ensure safe, efficient, and constructible design execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of process design deliverables, including development and maintenance of P&IDs.
  • Support mechanical and process engineering design across capital projects from concept through execution.
  • Work closely with EPC firms, engineering contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment on technical scope and deliverables.
  • Provide engineering support for key process systems, including:
  • Pumping and fluid handling systems
  • Contribute to system‑level engineering decisions and support integration across process units and plant infrastructure.
  • Participate in design reviews, troubleshooting, and technical problem‑solving across active projects.
  • Support project engineering teams in delivering safe, compliant, and constructible designs.
  • Ensure engineering outputs align with project objectives, timelines, and operational requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering (required).
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical or process engineering roles within chemical manufacturing, industrial processing, oil & gas, or similar capital‑intensive environments.
  • Strong experience working with P&IDs and process design documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience working with EPCs, engineering contractors, or capital project teams.
  • Solid understanding of core process equipment, including pumps, pressure vessels, and heat exchangers.
  • Strong systems thinking and ability to support end‑to‑end engineering execution.
  • Experience in Stage‑Gate or structured capital project environments is a plus.
  • Aspen or process simulation experience is helpful but not required.
