Senior Roadway Engineer

Location

Atlanta, Georgia.

• Assist in planning, design, and production of engineering drawings.
• Supervise the production of these drawings.
• Execute assignments in preparing and assembling specifications.
• Participate in engineering investigations and planning work, including collection and analysis of data, performance of routine calculations, and evaluation of feasibility of alternate solutions.
• Prepare sections of reports under close review of a more experienced professional.
• Participate in construction activities by reviewing shop drawings for conformance to specifications, assisting in recordkeeping and generating progress reports, observing construction procedures, and collecting samples for quality control testing.
• Perform data acquisition and analysis; research the feasibility of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory agency specifications or regulations.
• Prepare material for reports and permit applications, gather information, draft outlines, prepare work progression documents, and create graphic presentations.

• BS and/or MS in Engineering.
• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• Experience in highway/roadway design.
• Excellent technical and interpersonal skills.
• Strong team management skills.
• DOT experience required; GDOT preferred.
• Georgia PE required or ability to obtain through reciprocity.
• Proficiency in Micro Station, Open Roads Designer.
• AutoCAD Civil3D recommended.

Expected compensation range: $155,000–$185,000 annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
