Engineering Assistant (Senior Level)
Location:
Atlanta, GA Experience Level: 10–15 Years Contract- 1 Year Client

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Assistant with 10–15 years of professional experience supporting engineering leadership and project teams.
This role provides high-level administrative and project coordination support to engineering management. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing documentation, communications, scheduling, and financial tracking activities to ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities Project Documentation & Organization- Create, organize, and maintain project documentation including:
Engineering plans, Schedules, Budgets, Reports - Ensure all documentation is accurate, current, and accessible.
- Maintain document control and version tracking.
- Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and status updates.
- Assist with internal and external communications related to engineering projects.
- Coordinate meetings, site visits, and project-related events.
- Support engineering management with calendar coordination.
- Track and follow up on action items and milestones.
- Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenses.
- Support preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
- Track project cost data and highlight potential variances.
- Collect and analyze project data to identify trends.
- Prepare summary reports and recommendations based on analysis.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Accredited Bachelor's degree (Engineering preferred).
- 10–15 years of experience in engineering administrative or project coordination roles.
- Proficiency in:
Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Project management software, Data analysis tools - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Strong understanding of engineering project workflows.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Problem-solving and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to build effective relationships with:
Plant staff, Engineering teams, Vendors and contractors
