Controls Engineer

JTEC Energy is commercializing the Johnson Thermo-Electrochemical Converter, an invention that turns waste heat directly into electricity more efficiently than any other device on the market. We are looking for a creative, hands-on Controls Engineer who is excited about developing a new method to produce clean energy. The Controls Engineer will work with other team members, including Materials Engineers, Chemists, Chemical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers and Aerospace Engineers to develop robust, reliable implementations of the JTEC device.

This position includes both high-level design and hands-on fabrication, assembly, measurement, testing, and reporting. JTEC Energy is a well funded startup; the CE position affords the right engineer the ability to bring to life a truly exciting and world-changing invention. Potential for bonus based on achieving team objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, programming, developing, and supervising all aspects of the electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery including the installation and technical support of PLC-based control hardware and software.
  • Designing, fabricating/assembling, and implementing software, electrical and mechanical systems required to control the operation of JTEC equipment.
