Support mechanical engineering efforts within the Mission Critical Solution, designing infrastructure that protects national security and supports high‑consequence federal missions. The role involves developing high‑quality mechanical deliverables for complex projects, applying advanced technical knowledge and Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam to produce accurate and constructible designs.
Key Responsibilities- Function in a project engineering technician capacity; support engineering teams by creating and modifying technical deliverables.
- Apply foundational engineering principles to develop moderately complex design concepts and solutions.
- Utilize CAD, BIM, and 3‑D modeling tools to produce, edit, and maintain drawings and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and quality assurance; review design inputs, apply standards and codes, and ensure compliance.
- Perform design calculations, material quantity estimates, and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate with design groups to review and exchange project information; assist in field activities and plant start‑up as needed.
- Proactively seek and share knowledge of latest technologies and processes; apply judgment in interpreting deliverables.
- Diploma or certificate required.
- Associate degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Typically a minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment onboarding requirements, including background check and drug screening.
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days based on manager discretion and job performance.
Annual compensation is determined by skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors permissible by law.
- Colorado: $74,360 – $124,190
