Job Description Overview
We are seeking an Alternative Delivery Engineer in Atlanta, GA to help work on various alternative delivery projects.
Your role- The candidate will have proven experience or a deep interest in working on Alternative Delivery projects.
- Proven experience in highway project delivery is required; experience in other service sectors is also of interest.
- Proven ability to successfully act as a design lead or lead technical professional on large, multi-discipline assignments is required.
- Work closely with the project manager and other discipline leads to effectively deliver key components of the projects by closely defined schedule dates.
- Able to quickly adapt to changing conditions or changes in design policies and understanding the impact on project delivery needs and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including AASHTO, FHWA, and GDOT requirements.
- Lead/train junior team members with developing technical skills in compliance with GDOT policies.
- Analyze and prepare roadway and Temporary Traffic Control Plans (TTCP) designs, staging/MOT plans, calculations and drawings for Expressway/Limited-Access facilities and Arterial/Local roads using GDOT and/or local jurisdiction criteria, with guidance provided on complex matters.
- Apply a strong working knowledge of GDOT Design Policy Manual, Driveway and Encroachment Manual, Drainage Manual and other guidance documents, GDOT Standards and Details and GDOT Plan Development Process.
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil or construction engineering.
- 10-14 years of experience.
- Georgia P.E. license or ability to obtain within three months of employment is required.
- Specific experience in delivery of design-build and/or P3 projects is desired, but not required.
- Significant CAD and design software (Open Roads) proficiency is required.

Additional informationExpected compensation range is between $110,000 - $140,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
