Structural Steel Inspector; CWI

A well-established engineering and inspection company based in Georgia is looking to bring on an experienced Structural Steel Inspector to support a growing pipeline of commercial and infrastructure projects across the region.

This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance across steel fabrication, erection, and welding operations.

• Perform inspections of structural steel fabrication and erection in accordance with project specifications and codes
• Inspect welding activities, verifying compliance with AWS standards
• Conduct bolting inspections, ensuring proper installation and tensioning procedures
• Review shop drawings, specifications, and welding procedures
• Perform and oversee non-destructive testing where applicable
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve issues in the field

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or ICC Welding Certification
• Strong understanding of structural steel inspection practices and industry codes
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Willingness to travel to project sites across Georgia

• NDT Certification – Level II (ASTM):
  Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
• ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector Certification
• Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or industrial projects
• Background in both shop and field inspections
