Job Overview
Virtual Design & Construction, Project VDC Engineer. Lead development, implementation and support of all VDC processes across the region to support VDC initiatives for project teams in the office and field, and to support model‑based project management, process workflows and construction technology deployment for DPR business units.
Responsibilities- Administer and support VDC coordination kick‑off meetings and subsequent meetings.
- Configure project sites to host BIM data (or other equitable platforms) as applicable.
- Perform VDC work and support project personnel in VDC processes, including assistance with related technical support issues.
- Ensure effective execution and multi‑tasking of VDC operations and processes on a single project.
- Strong technical skills: basic to intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of implementation and support of Autodesk BIM
360 Build products (Glue, Field, Docs). - Basic to intermediate knowledge of contractor‑facing authoring and collaboration tools such as Revit, Tekla,3DAutoCADMEP, etc.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks Manage and/or Simulate.
- Ability to quickly learn new software tools and teach others.
- Ability to work in a flat‑organization environment that requires full transparency, team collaboration, leading by influencing and socialization of initiatives.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Experience in architecture, engineering, or construction; familiarity with RFI and submittal processes and MEP coordination.
- 0–3 years of experience working in a pre‑construction, operations, or VDC‑related role.
- 0–3 years of experience in design, engineering, or construction.
- Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent AECO industry experience).
