The role focuses on architecture solutions for airborne radar antenna arrays and high‑performance communication products, including software‑defined radios, amplifiers, receivers, exciters, and data links for ground, airborne and space applications.

Responsibilities
  • Develop RF architecture solutions for airborne radar antenna arrays, addressing size, weight, power, and design‑to‑cost constraints.
  • Design high‑density microelectronic packaging, payload designs, and electronic components such as ASICs, FPGAs, MMICs and analog filter assemblies.
  • Create electronic packaging structures, interconnects, and thermal control designs for high‑density electronic systems and enclosures.
  • Design radios, power systems, and networks for military products.
  • Perform RF hardware design, circuit simulation and EM modeling using Ansys HFSS, Cadence Clarity EM, ADS, Genesys, and System Vue.
  • Test analog CCAs, perform microwave testing with spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, oscilloscopes, VNAs and PNAs.
  • Collaborate with program management and functional supervision to produce technical data packages and meet overall design objectives.
  • Fabricate, assemble, and test components, and provide documentation throughout the product development life cycle.
  • Travel up to 25% to Raytheon facilities and customer sites.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant RF circuit design experience with Ansys HFSS or Cadence Clarity EM.
  • Experience with RF system simulation using ADS, Genesys, or System Vue.
  • Design and testing of analog CCAs including frequency conversion, AGC, amplifiers, MMICs, and analog filters.
  • Proficiency in microwave testing techniques using spectrum analyzers, RF signal generators, oscilloscopes, VNAs, and PNAs.
  • Experience with schematic and circuit layout design using Allegro/APD+, KiCAD, Altium, or similar CAD tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in PCB/PWB development, documentation, fabrication, assembly, and test of military electronic products.
  • Experience in electromagnetic simulation of passive RF components.
  • Experience with FPGA and microcontroller module testing and programming.
  • Knowledge of C, C++, Python, MATLAB.
  • Performance power and signal integrity analysis for RF, analog, and digital layouts.
  • Understanding of airborne environmental requirements and design constraints.
Benefits
