A leading international infrastructure and construction company is seeking a highly experienced Environmental Manager to support its expanding portfolio of complex infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring environmental compliance, sustainability, and risk mitigation throughout all phases of project delivery. Working in close collaboration with project leadership and regulatory stakeholders, the Environmental Manager will support responsible project execution in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.
Mission:To lead and manage environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives across projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, environmental permits, and company standards while minimizing environmental impacts and supporting successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:- Ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and contractual requirements.
- Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMP) and procedures.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring, inspections, and reporting.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Identify environmental risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Support design and construction teams with environmental requirements and constraints.
- Monitor and manage environmental performance and KPIs.
- Oversee soil, water, air quality, and environmental protection measures.
- Manage environmental documentation, reporting, and compliance records.
- Support sustainability initiatives and environmental best practices.
- Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental management within infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
- Proven experience managing environmental compliance on large-scale construction projects.
- Experience with DOT or public-sector projects preferred.
- Experience in Design-Build or P3 environments is highly desirable.
- Large-scale infrastructure projects requiring environmental permitting and monitoring.
- Highway, transit, and rail projects with environmental compliance constraints.
- Projects involving wetlands, protected areas, or sensitive ecosystems.
- P3 and Design-Build projects with complex environmental requirements.
- Projects exceeding $500M+ in value.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations (federal, state, and local).
- Experience in environmental permitting processes (NEPA or similar frameworks where applicable).
- Expertise in environmental monitoring and compliance programs.
- Familiarity with erosion control, stormwater management, and environmental protection systems.
- Ability to interpret environmental studies, reports, and technical data.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental reporting frameworks.
