Job Description Overview
We are seeking a CSA Estimator to join our team in Atlanta, GA, Alexandria, VA, New York, NY, Houston, TX, Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, Tampa, FL, Denver, CO or any other location where there is an AtkinsRéalis office. This role is hybrid and requires you to come to the office 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzes blueprints and other documents and prepares detailed cost estimates.
- Performs accurate quantity takeoffs of available design documents.
- Leads the development of conceptual and feasibility cost model estimates using historic benchmarking information and industry experience to create complete early‑stage cost forecast.
- Obtains accurate and up‑to‑date pricing information from databases, contractors, suppliers, etc. to use in estimates.
- Reviews inputted estimate takeoff information in CATO for specific disciplines to assess accuracy and suitability for project type and requirements.
- Finalizes estimate unit cost pricing to reflect current market conditions and specific project logistics.
- Reviews historic benchmark cost information and highlights variances.
- Works with architects and engineers to develop a clear understanding of project scope during preparation of estimates.
- Develops relationships with members of A/E firms and project team members.
- Prepares cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and explains variance cost drivers.
- Performs any other duties as the Supervisor may deem necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Quantity Surveying or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to provide high‑level cost estimates for Transportation, Industrial, Manufacturing or Commercial projects.
- Capable of working independently with PA engineers to provide cost estimates and reconcile with contractor bids.
- Fluent in MS Excel, On‑Screen takeoff and SharePoint document control.
Compensation: Expected compensation range is between $100,000 – $120,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
