The PCB Design Electronics Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of electronic circuits and circuit board assemblies, and for the integration of circuit card assemblies into an airborne electronic equipment for motor control. The engineer is also responsible for capturing hardware requirements and for formal verification of the design for compliance with the requirements, following a development process.
For this position the candidate will work in a collaborative cross‑functional environment for the development of an Electric Propulsion Unit.
- Capture of hardware requirements to fulfill equipment and system specification.
- Design of electronic circuits for aerospace application based on hardware requirements.
- Selection of electronic devices.
- Capture of electronic schematics and design of PCB layouts.
- Simulation and validation of electronic circuit design.
- Management of PCBs BOM (bill of material) and support of devices procurement.
- Support circuit board assemblies prototyping.
- Perform prototype commissioning.
- Use of ARP
4754A, DO-254 and other aerospace standards for the development of circuit boards assembly (CBA). - Support the system engineering and equipment engineering in the system/equipment architecture definitions.
- Work with the equipment team, software team and other hardware engineers during the design and integration of the circuits into the equipment.
- Run tests for formal verification of electronic hardware.
- Perform reliability analysis for the designed hardware.
- Write analysis reports and test reports.
