Are you a highly educated engineer who loves the plant floor and wants to operate at a strategic level?

At stow, we are undergoing massive growth. We are rapidly expanding our highly automated Atlanta facility, and we need a Principal Manufacturing Engineer who operates as our ultimate technical authority. This role holds the strategic weight of a management position, but your "direct reports" are the complex manufacturing processes, the Cap Ex projects, and the technology itself.

We need a high-level engineering mind, someone who acts as the ultimate escalation point to support our technical staff when they encounter complex, structural machinery issues they cannot resolve.

• Lead Cap Ex & Installations: Act as the primary technical point of contact for machine suppliers. You will guide the engineering, installation, and commissioning of new production lines (including a new robotic welding line launching soon).
• Support & Elevate the Technical Staff: You will be the mentor for the technical staff. You will support the maintenance technicians and operators, transferring your high-level knowledge so they can handle increasingly complex issues independently over time.
• Bridge the US and Europe: You will collaborate closely with our global team of experts. This includes traveling to our headquarters in Belgium to train, share knowledge, and bring stow’s European manufacturing standards back to the Atlanta plant.
• Drive Root-Cause Engineering: Transition the plant from reactive troubleshooting to highly optimized production. You will tackle recurring structural issues at their source to ensure all machinery operates smoothly, efficiently, and at its absolute maximum capability.

• You hold a solid Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, or similar), giving you the theoretical framework to understand complex, multi-stage manufacturing technologies.
• You love the plant environment and understanding how complex machines work and you operate at a strategic, root-cause level.
• You have previously worked directly with machine builders to spec, install, or modify heavy industrial equipment.
• You have a proven track record of supporting technical teams, earning their respect, and effectively translating complex engineering concepts into actionable floor knowledge.
• You embrace different working cultures and are excited to collaborate with a European engineering team. You are open to international travel (specifically to Belgium) for deep-dive training.
• You understand that scaling a high-volume plant requires dedication. Whether it’s an urgent escalation on a weekend or a critical phase of a new line installation, you have the flexibility to ensure the plant’s success.
