Job Summary

Superior Rigging & Erecting is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to become a key technical leader within our growing organization. The role involves solving complex technical challenges, partnering with operations, and helping shape the future of our engineering department.

• Divide your time between engineering, collaboration, and field support.

• Develop engineered lift plans, structural calculations, and technical solutions for complex construction and heavy‑lift projects.
• Evaluate structural loading, temporary support conditions, crane configurations, rigging systems, and construction methodologies.
• Partner directly with operations and project teams to solve real‑world engineering challenges.
• Visit project sites to support planning, evaluate constructability, and provide technical guidance during critical operations.
• Support estimating and pre‑construction teams by identifying engineering risks and practical solutions.
• Help establish engineering standards, procedures, calculation methods, and best practices.
• Mentor future engineering talent as the department continues to grow.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to leadership across the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain Georgia licensure through reciprocity.
• Experience supporting complex engineering projects in construction, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, consulting, or related industries.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and field operations teams.
• Willingness to work in both office and project site environments.
