Senior Engineering Designer (Site Civil)We are seeking a Senior Engineering Designer to join our Site Civil team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is ideal for an experienced civil design professional who enjoys taking ownership of complex land development projects and serving as a technical leader within a collaborative engineering environment. The Senior Engineering Designer will work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to develop innovative site development solutions for commercial, residential, mixed-use, industrial, and institutional projects.

- Lead the design and production of civil site development plans from concept through construction.
- Prepare detailed grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility, roadway, and erosion control plans.
- Develop engineering calculations, reports, exhibits, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, landscape architects, and external consultants.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create and manage design models, plan sets, and construction documents.
- Support permitting and entitlement efforts, including agency coordination and plan review responses.
- Assist with project scheduling, resource planning, and quality control reviews.
- Perform technical reviews to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Mentor junior designers and CAD staff while promoting design best practices.
- Participate in client meetings, project discussions, and internal design reviews.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
- 8+ years of civil/site design experience within a consulting engineering environment.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of site grading, stormwater management, drainage design, utility layouts, and erosion control.
- Experience preparing construction documents for land development projects.
- Working knowledge of Georgia development regulations and permitting requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience leading design teams on complex land development projects.
- Familiarity with Hydraflow, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, Pond Pack, WaterCAD, or similar design software.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, multifamily, mixed-use, and residential developments.
- Understanding of municipal review and permitting processes throughout Georgia.
