Senior Sustainability Engineer
Are you the dynamic Senior Sustainability Engineer we are looking for?
If you want to feel the satisfaction of really making a difference, with every decision you make, you’ve come to the right place.
That’s because, at Skanska, we don’t just build bridges. Or office buildings. Or data centers. We make a positive impact in people’s lives – shaping the way we all live, work, and connect, now and for generations to come – and we want you to do it together with us.
This position will support the sustainability efforts of the Skanska USA Building. The Senior Sustainability Engineer will work with our Project Teams, helping to educate them on their project responsibilities and focus on green building strategies, systems, and standards. The Senior Sustainability Engineer will work alongside the project team to ensure they properly track and document project sustainability goals towards eventual certification-based efforts, whether LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, or others.
Another key part of this role will be to lead the collection and reporting of carbon data in response to our commitment to hit milestone reduction goals in 2030 and 2045 and to coach junior Sustainability Engineers and project teams on reduction tactics. The position will also support training, and research for the Green Project Solutions team, and will help to train and assist in the success of the junior Sustainability Engineers.
