Staff Engineer
Recruitment is in the Public Works Department. Position is located at 11575 Maxwell Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009, 141 Pryor Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. Area of assignment: (Water Systems).
Key responsibilities:
Overseeing engineering aspects of water asset management projects and associated communication, reporting, and office tasks. Additionally, the Staff Engineer will perform supervisory, quality control, and data and computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) management duties as required.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; supplemented by two years of work experience in civil engineering or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Specific license or certification required:
Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license (as required by position assignment); current proof of eligibility to sit for the Engineer-In-Training (EIT) pre-licensure certification examination (to be provided within twelve (12) months of employment);
Specific knowledge, skills, or abilities:
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all county or departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in the position. Veterans' Preference:

Examination:
The examination will consist of a review of education and experience, accomplished by analysis of the application. Application must document that the applicant possesses the minimum knowledge, skills, education and experience as listed to be rated as eligible. If selected, an official, accredited college transcript is required, at time of employment, for all degrees/course work used to qualify for this position.
