Lead Electrical Systems Engineer
We are looking for a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer with 10–15 years of industry experience in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is perfect for a motivated professional seeking a challenging role in a growing firm.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients, work closely with team leaders, and assist with business development. This role involves leading and guiding a team of engineers in a collaborative environment.
Duties- Create electrical systems designs for various projects
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting quality, timeline, and budget requirements
- Lead design teams and coordinate with other departments
- Produce technical drawings and construction documents
- Oversee project teams, managing budget and schedule
- Develop technical proposals based on fees and qualifications
- Support marketing and business development efforts
- Act as a technical advisor to clients, architects, and contractors
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to office culture and departmental goals
- Travel as needed for project and client support
- Expertise in electrical systems design and specifications
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as NEC, IEEE, NESC, IESNA, IECC
- Proficiency in electrical modeling software like SKM, ETAP
- Experience in electrical engineering for sectors like industrial, healthcare, and commercial
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is essential
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Electrical Engineering
- 10–15 years of relevant experience
- Experience in project management and certifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Desire and ability to lead interdisciplinary projects
- Previous engagement with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) is beneficial
- Involvement in industry organizations is a plus
- Competitive salary based on experience
- Overtime pay at 1.0x hourly rate
