Description

Anduril is seeking a Reliability Engineer to drive product reliability across the full lifecycle of advanced autonomous defense systems-from early concept development through qualification, production, and field deployment. This individual will partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to ensure products can withstand real-world operating environments while meeting mission-critical performance requirements. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role where you'll serve as the reliability subject matter expert, helping influence design decisions, test strategies, failure investigations, manufacturing readiness, and long-term product performance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in aerospace or defense hardware, reliability engineering methodologies, and hands-on experience supporting products from development through production.

Must-Have Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline. Experience 5+ years of experience in:
Reliability Engineering Design Engineering Development Engineering Test Engineering Technical Expertise FMEA/FMECA Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Predictive Reliability Modeling Weibull Analysis Root Cause Failure Analysis Qualification & Validation Testing Industry Experience Aerospace, Defense, Military, or other safety-critical systems Hardware and software reliability experience Military Standards Experience Familiarity with: MIL-STD-810 MIL-HDBK-217 MIL-STD-461 MIL-STD-516C MIL-STD-1629 Additional Requirements Experience supporting products through design, testing, manufacturing, and field deployment.

Experience presenting at design reviews (PDR/CDR/MRR). Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance. Nice-to-Have Qual Master's degree

Experience with : MIL-HDBK-217

Plus MIL-HDBK-472 MIL-STD-1916 HALT / HASS testing experience. HITL/SITL testing experience. Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRL). Manufacturing Review Board (MRB) participation. Risk management and change control experience. Technical writing experience involving specifications, requirements, and standards.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $61.00 - $80.00/hr.
