The team’s work is focused on creating cleaner, safer communities through responsible design, permitting, construction oversight, and environmental monitoring.
The Senior Field Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, supporting field operations on solid waste and civil/environmental projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing field inspections, construction quality assurance (CQA) testing, and environmental monitoring activities such as sampling, data collection, and site documentation. The role involves assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of landfill gas systems and related infrastructure, as well as supporting stormwater and erosion control measures.
The Senior Field Technician will work closely with project managers and engineers to implement project plans, ensure regulatory and safety compliance, and maintain accurate records and reports. This position also requires regular travel to project sites, coordination with contractors and clients, and proactive identification of field issues and improvement opportunities.
- Candidates should possess strong fieldwork and technical skills, including experience with construction quality assurance (CQA), material testing, and field inspections on civil or solid waste projects.
- Candidates should possess environmental monitoring and sampling skills, including familiarity with groundwater, surface water, gas monitoring, and stormwater/erosion control practices.
- Candidates should possess solid waste and civil infrastructure skills, such as exposure to landfill systems, transfer stations, piping and conveyance systems, and basic understanding of environmental permitting and compliance.
- Candidates should possess safety and operational skills, including adherence to health and safety protocols, equipment operation (e.g., field instruments, sampling devices), and ability to work effectively in outdoor and construction environments.
- Candidates should possess communication and documentation skills, including clear report writing, accurate data recording, and professional interaction with project teams, contractors, and clients.
- Relevant qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; technical certificate or associate degree in environmental science, engineering technology, or related field is preferred.
