Job Title:

Survey CADD Specialist Job Description

The survey experienced CADD Specialist plays a critical role in the construction industry by providing advanced computer-aided design and drafting support specifically focused on surveying projects. This position is responsible for creating, reviewing, and managing detailed technical drawings and plans that accurately represent land surveys, site layouts, and construction designs. The specialist ensures that all CADD deliverables meet stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations and client specifications.

Collaboration with surveyors, engineers, and project managers is essential to translate field data into precise digital models that guide construction activities. Ultimately, this role contributes to the successful planning and execution of construction projects by delivering accurate and reliable design documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and produce detailed CADD drawings and plans based on survey data and project requirements.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of survey data and incorporate it into digital design files.
  • Coordinate with survey teams, engineers, and project managers to ensure design intent and specifications are met.
  • Maintain and update CADD standards, templates, and libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to CADD software and data integration.
  • Train and mentor junior CADD specialists to enhance team capabilities and knowledge sharing.
Essential Skills
  • Associate degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Drafting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in CADD drafting within the construction or surveying industry.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard CADD software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles, land development processes, and construction documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex technical data.

  • GIS knowledge and 3D modeling skills are preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting technical survey information and resolving discrepancies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.50 - $37.50/hr.
