Manufacturing Engineer
As a Manufacturing Engineer on 1st Shift, you will be integral to transitioning new products from concept to the factory floor, while driving continuous improvement and scaling of existing production lines. This role is perfect for a hands-on problem solver who thrives at the intersection of design, scale, and execution in a high-agency, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with Design Engineering during early-stage R&D to drive Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, and Test.
- Manage configuration by translating Engineering Bills of Materials into structured Manufacturing Bills of Materials.
- Develop and execute Manufacturing Build Plans, including process flows and sub-assemblies.
- Design, procure, and qualify prototype and production tooling, fixtures, and test equipment for new product launches.
- Utilize PLM systems to manage product life cycles and implement Engineering Change Orders.
- Configure and maintain manufacturing routings and operations within ERP systems to ensure material flow.
- Own the manufacturing line for mature products, focusing on cycle time reduction and yield improvement.
- Perform root-cause analysis on production failures and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to resolve quality issues and optimize performance.
- Coordinate with 2nd Shift Manufacturing Engineers to hand off production goals and technical issues.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with New Product Introduction, CAD, BOM, PLM, and Solid Works.
- Proficiency in managing projects independently.
- Experience with PLM systems (preferably Teamcenter) and ERP systems (preferably Oracle).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and create work instructions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience dealing with system-level requirements and system engineering.
- Familiarity with Jira or similar project tracking software.
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline preferred.
- Experience with aerospace, defense, automotive, or consumer electronics industries.
Work Environment
First Shift: 6 AM - 3 PM, Monday to Friday, with the possibility of overtime and required work every other Saturday. The role is based onsite in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $62.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
