We are looking for a highly motivated Structural Engineer who is passionate about the construction process to join our Atlanta, GA team. You'll be responsible for project performance and profit from day one!
ResponsibilitiesManage mission-critical projects and communicate with clients, technical drafting staff, and others outside the project team
Prepare preliminary designs for clients
Review building codes to ensure proper implementation in design
Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers
Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
Produce construction-ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
QualificationsBS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
5+ years of structural engineering building design experience as a lead, ideally with some experience in large-scale commercial and/or data center projects
Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and an understanding of foundation design
Proficiency in using Revit independently to create construction-level structural drawings is required
Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP
2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
Professional Engineer (PE) licensure, or the ability to obtain within 6 months
