We are seeking an Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Specialist to lead and support full-lifecycle commissioning for critical facilities nationwide. In this hands-on, highly collaborative role, you will perform MEP design reviews, execute functional testing on complex electrical infrastructure, and partner with contractors, vendors, and client teams to operationalize mission-critical environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Field Testing (50%): Execute factory witness testing, inspections, functional testing, startup, and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.
Testing Plans & Procedures (20%): Develop commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and detailed functional performance test scripts.
Design Review & Oversight (15%): Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and sequences of operation (SOO) to provide commissioning-focused design input.
Documentation & Reporting (15%): Maintain progress tracking, compile audit-ready technical records, and prepare final commissioning reports for client submission.
Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction plus 5+ years (or 7+ years total experience) in hands-on installation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting of critical electrical infrastructure.
Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of electrical distribution systems, mechanical/control principles, NFPA 70E safety practices, and mission-critical workflows.
Field & Software Aptitude: Strong self-motivation in field/remote settings, proficiency with MS Office, and ability to leverage modern software and AI tools to streamline workflows.
Physical & Travel: Ability to navigate job sites (climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs); up to 75% nationwide travel (must live near a major airport with a valid driver's license and REAL /passport).
