This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned engineer looking to take the next step toward senior management.
Job Duties:
- Design and develop layouts for HVAC distribution systems and equipment based on client specifications.
- Create complex sketches and system schematics for sophisticated engineering designs.
- Perform energy and heating calculations, and write/edit project specifications and reports.
- Survey existing buildings and document current HVAC systems.
- Consult with engineers and prepare schematic designs for new systems.
- Administer project management duties, including managing multidisciplinary teams, tracking budgets, and ensuring quality product delivery.
- Serve as the key contact for stakeholders and clients.
- Mentor and develop junior drafters and designers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of three years’ experience in designing HVAC systems in buildings.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems concepts and design.
- Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and excellent blueprint reading skills.
- High analytical aptitude with effective communication abilities.

- LEED certification/experience is advantageous.
- Over eight years of experience designing HVAC systems in complex settings including healthcare and university settings
- Experience in mentoring and team development.
- Proficiency in design software and Revit.
- Strong skills in the MS Office Suite, including advanced use of Excel and Microsoft Teams.
