We are partnered with a growing civil engineering consulting firm specializing in transportation infrastructure, roadway design, bridge engineering, and surveying services. With a strong backlog of public-sector transportation work and a reputation for delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions, our client is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team in Atlanta, Georgia
. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transportation design professional who wants to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects while working in a flexible, collaborative environment that values technical excellence and professional growth.
- Producing civil engineering design plans for transportation and roadway projects.
- Collaborating with project teams to deliver high-quality designs on schedule and within budget.
- Supporting transportation projects for state, county, municipal, and other public-sector clients.
- Ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to applicable agency standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Coordinating with internal staff, project managers, and clients throughout project development and delivery.
- Maintaining accountability for project execution, quality control, and client satisfaction.
- Assisting with additional engineering and project-related responsibilities as needed.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia, or the ability to obtain Georgia licensure within three months of hire.
- 5-10 years of transportation design experience, including hands‑on plan preparation for public agency projects.
- Experience working on DOT transportation projects; GDOT experience is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of transportation design standards and guidelines, including AASHTO, MUTCD, HCM, and ADA/US Access Board requirements.
- Proficiency with Micro Station, GEOPAK, InRoads, and/or Open Roads Designer (ORD) in transportation design environments.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented setting.
