Application Engineer

Akrometrix, LLC is an Atlanta based company looking for an applications engineer to primarily perform contract test service work on Akrometrix metrology tools, as well as outgoing quality checks on the same equipment.

This is a diverse role in the company where the key competence of the engineer is to become a subject matter expert in the use of Akrometrix technology.

• Perform contract test services, including communicating with Akrometrix customers, use of Akrometrix technology, and detail-oriented analysis and reporting
• Perform outgoing quality control of Akrometrix equipment, electrical/mechanical knowledge helpful
• Applicants are not expected to have any incoming knowledge of Akrometrix technology
• On the job training provided to become an expert in use of Akrometrix equipment
• Applicants should be self-starters and able to learn quickly
• Contribute original and innovative ideas to team and company offerings
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are required as this position must quickly come up to speed and interface across engineering, operations, and sales teams to further Akrometrix products
• High work efficiency and ability to balance between multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Strong ability to troubleshoot problems
• Strong organizational skills

• BS in Engineering or Physics preferred or comparable experience with electromechanical equipment

• Experience in engineering roles and/or applications/sales support; preferred
• Electrical or mechanical knowledge of laboratory equipment; preferred
• Working knowledge of semiconductor or microelectronics industry; beneficial
