Service Engineer

Perform engineering tasks as required to ensure proper system operability and completionofassigned projects or work orders in a timely manner. Typical tasks are; as built documentation, wiring diagrams, programming, graphic creations, onsite big picture and limited troubleshooting. Provide remote troubleshooting support for customers as required.

This is a exempt salaried position (no overtime).

• Maintain Hoffman standard engineering practices
• Maintain industry technical knowledge
• Engineering/Programming as required
• Onsite Big Picture Tasks as required
• Limited travel as required
• Remote troubleshooting support as required
• Provide Consistent and Clear Communications and Mentoring as required (Supervisor,Service Coordinator, Account Manager, Project Manager, Technicians and Customers)

• Knowledge of HVAC DDC Control Theory & Applications
• Proficient with Alerton/Tridium Programming
• Experience with electronics and electrical circuits
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Computer hardware and software skills
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Strong communications and interactive skills

• AA degree in applied technology (preferred)
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• HVAC and/or Mechanical systems experience
• Computer programming experience
• Troubleshooting experience
