They have an exciting opportunity for a System Engineer to join their team. This position is well-suited to a technically minded, analytical and commercially aware engineer who is looking to develop their career within warehouse automation and work on multi-million-dollar projects.
This position sits within the System Engineering team and supports the Sales and Solution Design functions. You will support pre-sales engineering activities, develop supply and pricing plans, evaluate technical requirements and supplier proposals, and help deliver technically and commercially viable solutions to customers.
Responsibilities- Support Sales and Solution Design during the proposal phase.
- Develop supply plans and coordinate with approved suppliers and internal teams.
- Prepare and manage RFPs, pricing requests and supplier documentation.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Lead cost engineering activities and develop cost estimates for ROM, Budget and Firm proposals.
- Prepare scope of supply and customer proposal documentation.
- Evaluate customer requirements and identify compliance, exceptions and technical risks.
- Support system engineering handover from proposal through to project execution.
- Assist with evaluating alternative technical solutions and presenting recommendations.
- Create technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit or other approved design packages.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering tools, processes and documentation.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering - preferably Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2-3 years engineering experience.
- Material handling industry experience is highly desirable significant industry experience may substitute for an engineering degree.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate technical requirements, suppliers and engineering solutions.
- Experience with AS/RS, conveyors, AGVs, AMRs or other warehouse automation solutions is highly desirable.
- Experience supporting proposals for large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects is advantageous.
- Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
- Must be authorised to work full-time in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
