The Avionics Hanger 2 Technician performs repairs and replacement of components and system wiring along with system checks and diagnostic evaluations of aircraft systems. This position is responsible for inspecting, servicing, testing, repairing, modifying, removing and replacing aircraft electrical instruments and electronic equipment. Systems include but are not limited to: power system components; instrument systems; indicating and warning systems; aircraft automatic flight control systems;

including auto-pilots; automatic flight stabilization; aircraft compasses and altitude reference systems; auxiliary power plants; airborne communication; navigation displays. Certain duties may require working in confined spaces for a periodic time.

• The successful candidate will be responsible for consistently practicing safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
  
  Job Qualifications:
• The Avionics Hanger 2 Technician position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A & P License Required. Should have at least 3 years of documented aircraft avionic on aircraft performing avionics tasks systems experience or an Associates Degree in Avionics from an accredited college or an approved technical school.
• Candidate must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to inspect, test, and repair aircraft avionics & electrical components.
• Must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in detailed and complex technical and procedural manuals, blueprints, and schematic and wiring diagrams with little or no assistance.
• Candidate must have the ability to study, master and apply a series of steps, rules and guidelines needed to perform a variety of tasks.
• As well as the ability to learn and apply new skills, procedures, or policies that may conflict with existing information.
• Additionally, candidate must be able to respond with flexibility to change or multiple work assignments.
• Candidate must also be able to complete a set of tasks or task without close supervisory direction.
• Should be able to meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.

• To qualify for this position you must:

• Be authorized to work in the US Be able to pass an extensive background check, drug test and audiogram.
• Be at least 18 years of age Have a valid driver's license

• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
