Transit Dispatcher

Transdev in Atlanta, GA at Emory University is hiring a Dispatcher. The role oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to our clients. We seek customer‑service oriented professionals dedicated to safety.

• Oversee assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, ensuring routes begin on time, and monitoring incidents.
• Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips, including no‑shows, cancellations, and missed trips.
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, acting as liaison between carriers and emergency services.
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively addressing situations that impact customer service.
• Perform other duties as required.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Technical Degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of dispatching experience.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Typically sat, typing, or looking at a computer screen for long periods.
• Work environment combines indoors and outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to obtain an F endorsement.
• Ability to drive as required.

• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.).
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
