Position: Event Engineer (Part-Time)

Event Engineer

A professional basketball team and state-of-the-art arena/entertainment venue that specializes in creating memorable experiences for each guest we interact with. The Event Engineer is responsible for supporting the Live Production department in the troubleshooting of signal flow, video routing, intercom and control room systems for a wide variety of events at State Farm Arena. This role primarily supports Atlanta Hawks NBA home games, while also providing technical support for concerts, live entertainment, and other arena events as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshooting camera & fiber signal flow around the arena, truck dock, control room.
  • Video routing (work with broadcast trucks getting feeds)
  • Mapping of control room multi-viewers & intercom system (panels & wireless beltpacks)
  • Basic networking skills
  • And any other job duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Two years of control room experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced live event environment and is committed to delivering exceptional event experiences through high-quality technical execution.
  • Audio & Lighting knowledge a plus
