SeniorAssociate – Transaction Advisory / Financial Due Diligence
Location:
Various offices including New York, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Nashville, Los Angeles, San Francisco.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with core financial due diligence, identifying key risks and potential deal breakers, assessing the strengths and weaknesses of the business against industry benchmarks, and aiding in the evaluation of the potential transaction in the context of your client’s investment strategy.
- Analyze detailed financial statement information including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and key operational data; synthesize and convert the data into meaningful information that informs discussions with target management.
- Assess the quality of the target company’s reported earnings, net assets, and cash flows.
- Build deal‑oriented reports and presentations for clients that highlight key financial, commercial, and other findings and help incorporate them into the client’s valuation, purchase agreement, and negotiation.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls with target company management and client personnel, serving as a secondary point of contact for day‑to‑day execution matters.
- Be actively involved in building and maintaining client relationships and other business‑development opportunities.
- Minimum of 2–4 years of audit and financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm, with at least 1 year in financial due diligence.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related major.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or in the process of obtaining one.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting.
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong project‑management skills.
- Flexibility to work as both a team member and an individual contributor.
- Ability to thrive in fast‑paced settings.
Base salary is $130,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus program based on performance. Regular employees working 30+ hours per week are eligible for fringe benefits including healthcare plans, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a discretionary employer contribution.
