Job Description & How to Apply Below

On-Site/Hybrid | $100-125K base salary + Commissions + Benefits Package

We’re hiring a Financial Advisor (Associate/Servicing) on behalf of our client—a growing, independent wealth management and financial planning firm based in Metro Atlanta.

Why this role

This hire will step into a rare “grow-with-support” seat: you’ll help steward a recently acquired client base while building your own book over time, backed by robust internal support and mentorship. The firm’s approach is planning-first, fiduciary-minded, and intentionally not “sales quota” driven.

What you’ll do
  • Serve as a relationship-focused advisor for an existing client book, supporting a smooth transition and high-touch service
  • Lead and participate in client meetings (in-person and Zoom), including reviews, planning conversations, and implementation follow-ups
  • Develop trust-based client relationships that naturally generate referrals and additional assets
  • Build through centers of influence (COIs) and networking (attorneys, CPAs, business owners, etc.)
  • Partner with internal planning, trading, and administrative resources so you can stay focused on client-facing work
  • Use model portfolios when appropriate, while thoughtfully customizing when it’s in the client’s best interest
  • Document client interactions and planning action items, and maintain strong follow-through on commitments
What success looks like
  • Ramp quickly by learning the firm’s planning and service philosophy; expect a meaningful learning curve over the first 12–18 months
  • Deliver a consistently excellent client experience (responsiveness, clarity, and proactive follow-up)
  • Progress from “associate” support into primary advisor responsibilities on the acquired client base within ~12 months (with mentorship, not thrown to the wolves)
  • Establish a COI/referral strategy and begin producing net new assets through relationships
Candidate profile
  • 5–10+ years of financial planning and wealth management experience (planning exposure is important)
  • Active securities licensing required (Series 7 + 66 preferred; equivalent combinations considered) and Life & Health License
  • CFP® preferred; if not currently held, strong willingness to obtain
  • Comfortable advising through a planning-first, client-first lens (no product quotas)
  • Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly (financial planning, tax, and workflow tools)
  • High EQ, authentic communication style, and a team-first mindset (collaborative, coachable)
  • Enjoys educating clients and simplifying complexity without talking down to people
Deal-breakers (read this twice)
  • Prefers to run personal, bespoke portfolios for every client as the primary value-add (this team’s value-add is planning + advice + relationships; portfolio construction is supported by the broader platform)
  • Needs qualified leads fed to them and is not willing to build COIs or referral partnerships over time
  • Not comfortable being in-office more frequently during the first year to ramp and learn the firm’s workflows
  • Uncapped variable compensation tied to new business/assets the advisor sources and brings in (payout up to 60% of revenue on those assets)
  • Health insurance: employer covers 100% of the employee (individual) premium; family coverage available through the group plan
  • Group benefits available (e.g., disability and life insurance)
  • 401(k): safe-harbor style match (up to ~4% employer match when the employee contributes 5%)
Work environment
  • Hybrid (in-office focus during the first 12 months for training; more flexibility after ramp-up)
  • Client meetings are a blend of in-person and Zoom (many clients value face-to-face early in the relationship)
  • Supportive training (approx. 3 months) includes a structured ramp (approx. 12 months) and shadowing time with team members
How to apply

If you’re a relationship-driven advisor who wants to grow in a planning-first environment—with real support and a meaningful book to work from—apply to be considered.
Selected candidates will be asked to complete a recorded introductory interview and, later in the process, a personality assessment.
