Controller
Summary:
The Controller will lead all aspects of the following functions: accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, financial planning/analysis, information technology (IT), business and operational reporting and analysis, performance measures, decision support, revenue cycle management and related matters. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Finance Accounting or related field required
- At least three years’ experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position
- MBA/CPA or related credential and education strongly preferred.
- Non-profit experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge and expertise in all facets of finance, accounting, business planning, information systems and related disciplines.
- Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of financial and accounting systems and processes.
- Ability to provide leadership & establish commitment to the development and implementation of financial strategies, plans, policies and business initiatives.
- Demonstrate a high level of skill at building relationships and strategic partnerships both internally and externally.
- Planning and directing all accounting operational functions
- Managing consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of all consolidated business entities results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Coordinating activities of external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
- Documenting and Monitoring accounting policies
- Ensuring all payments are completed on time (including accounts payable and bank deposits)
- Evaluating accounting internal control systems
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
- Managing IT service providers.
- Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff

Supervisory Responsibility: Supervises business office team management and team members.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for up to three hours at a time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. High visual acuity.
