Position: Accounting Manager (family office)

Quest Group is actively recruiting for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of a private family office
. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting the family’s financial transaction. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, exceptional discretion, and experience working in a complex, multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all accounting operations for the family office, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll coordination, and cash management
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities (LLCs, trusts, partnerships, and personal accounts)
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting
  • Coordinate with external advisors including CPAs, tax preparers, auditors, investment managers, and legal counsel
  • Support tax compliance by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for federal, state, and local filings
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of investment activity, including capital calls, distributions, and performance tracking
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
  • Oversee bank reconciliations and monitor accounts for accuracy and compliance
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff or outsourced service providers, as applicable
  • Handle sensitive financial and personal information with the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a family office, private wealth, or multi-entity environment
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience with trusts, partnerships, and complex ownership structures
  • Proficiency with accounting software and reporting tools (e.g., Quick Books, Sage, Net Suite, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification
  • Experience working with investment accounting (private equity, real estate, hedge funds, or alternative investments)
