- Experience with indirect taxes, both sales and use and property taxes.
- Knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Experience with Thomson Reuters tax software (One Source Tax Provision and One Source Income Tax), as well as Wolter Kluwer Tax Research tools (CCH).
- Public Accounting (strongly preferred)
Located in Atlanta, Georgia the Tax Senior will help organize and assist with all North American tax compliance, planning and tax matters. The position will report to the US Senior Tax Manager, based in Atlanta, Georgia. There will be a strong collaboration with many corporate and business partners, both inside and outside the US.
Responsibilities- Responsible for the preparation of state and local corporate income, sales/use, personal property and other miscellaneous tax calculations and returns.
- Responsible for leading correspondence and projects with third party consultants for indirect tax matters.
- Maintaining and enhance the processes around indirect taxes.
- Organizing the maintenance of exemption certificates provided by customers and to vendors.
- Assist with preparation of federal income tax provision and to help ensure accurate, timely and complete reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
- Assist with maintaining tax calendar and tracking of tax inquiries and exposures.
- Lead state and local tax audits and inquiries as they arise.
- Assist with federal, state and local tax research and analyses
- Assist with strategic tax planning where appropriate
- Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law development
- Regular involvement in corporate projects
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Taxation (Required)
