About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and operationally focused finance leader to partner closely with division leadership across our national portfolio. This individual will serve as the financial thought partner to operations, translating complex financial data into actionable business insights that drive profitability, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
This role sits at the intersection of finance and field operations and plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, internal controls, and operational improvement initiatives across multiple contracts within hospital systems nationwide.
Key Responsibilities Operational Finance Leadership- Partner with operational leaders to analyze monthly financial performance including revenue, food costs, labor, and controllable expenses.
- Deliver clear explanations of variances versus budget and prior year, along with recommendations to improve results.
- Lead monthly financial review meetings and present findings to senior leadership.
- Direct the annual budget process for assigned portfolio.
- Own monthly forecasting cycles and ensure alignment with operational realities.
- Support capital planning and investment analysis initiatives.
- Develop and refine KPIs to measure contract performance.
- Monitor financial and operational trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Prepare executive-level reporting that highlights key drivers of profitability.
- Evaluate billing, collections, and financial workflows; recommend improvements where necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.
- Maintain and enhance financial procedures to support a growing, multi-site environment.
- Provide direction and mentorship to finance team members supporting field operations (both onsite and remote).
- Foster collaboration between accounting, operations, and client-facing teams.
- Support client presentations and participate in financial discussions with hospital leadership as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
- MBA or CPA strongly preferred
- 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in multi-site or operationally intensive environments
- Prior experience supporting field operations or contract-based business models preferred
- Proven leadership experience managing teams (direct or matrixed)
- Strong income statement and variance analysis expertise
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or comparable platforms
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools is a plus
- Base salary range: $135,000 – $165,000 (commensurate with experience)
- Annual performance bonus opportunity:
