Who: Seeking a Finance Supervisor to manage daily finance operations and supervise staff in a nonprofit/grant-funded environment.
What: Oversee AP/AR, month-end close, donor reporting, audits, and compliance. Provide fiscal guidance to programs and staff.
When: Full-time, immediate hire.
Where: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid/flexible depending on team needs)
Why: Ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support organizational stewardship.
Salary Range: $53,270 - $61,560
Under the supervision of the Finance Director, the Finance Supervisor leads daily finance operations, supervises assigned staff, and ensures compliance with internal controls and funder requirements. This role collaborates with Budget & Planning teams, program managers, and donors to support accurate financial reporting and strong fiscal stewardship.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day finance tasks: AP/AR, invoicing, payments, CIK transactions, and account coding
- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities according to policies
- Prepare and submit financial reports, donor invoices, and budget-to-actual analyses
- Conduct variance analyses and review financial transactions for accuracy
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Direct and supervise finance staff: assign work, set objectives, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews
- Support staff development and training initiatives
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to donor requirements, internal controls, and organizational policies
- Lead or assist with internal audits and support compliance reviews
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Budget & Planning teams, program leads, and internal stakeholders on financial questions and reporting
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cross-departmental initiatives
- Completion of at least 2 accounting/bookkeeping courses;
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred - 3+ years of accounting experience, nonprofit/grant-funded environment preferred
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience
- Strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (advanced), and financial software
- High professional integrity and confidentiality

- Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
